Jan: “We’ve been clients of Taylor & Taylor since mid-2017.”
Chris: “We needed financial advice because I turned 60. I was the Marketing Vice President of a German company and had to have offices in Manchester and Germany. I felt like I was spending most of life either on the M60, in an airport lounge, or on a plane. All the fun of relentless travel was starting to wear off.
I had an occupational pension on a Defined Benefit scheme which came in on my 62nd birthday. There was a lot of discussion between us. Is this the right time? Is this the prompt to pack it all in? The next question obviously was, how do we do it?
I also had some money in a personal pension but had no idea really whether we could afford it or not. Therefore, we had to speak to somebody who could guide us.”
Jan: “And reassure us that we could go ahead. And we didn’t want to go to a huge company where we were just a number.”
Chris: “We’re very happy with Taylor & Taylor. Absolutely. They have a unique, unusual approach which is closer to lifestyle planning than purely financial advice or wealth management. They’re more interested in how you want to live your life from now on in. Everything begins there.
We view the years ahead with confidence. We embrace them. We feel very comfortable in terms of where we are financially and where we will be in five, 10, 15 years.
The best thing about working with Taylor & Taylor is the lifestyle approach that they have, which is really great for us. It’s much more fun to go through stuff when the first question is, ‘what do you want to do with your life?’ not, ‘how much money have you got?’.”
Jan: “The best thing about working with Taylor & Taylor is that we know them well, Chris and Ross, and I feel as though I could approach them. I’d feel very comfortable coming to see them and I’d be given great advice.”
