Bolton School 100 Campaign
We contribute towards the Bolton School Bursary Fund and specifically for the ‘100 Campaign for Bursaries’.
Bolton School is a special place – in our opinion, one of the great schools of the North. Its ethos has helped generations of Boltonians (including ourselves – Chris, Ross and older brother Rick) from all backgrounds realise their talents and has inspired them to achieve success. We believe this is an ethos worth preserving.
Bolton Lads & Girls Club
We are Bronze Patrons of Bolton Lads and Girls Club – an organisation that makes a big difference to young people living in our local community.
Chris Taylor has been actively involved in fundraising for them since 1990.
After completing the TeachFirst graduate scheme, Ross is now a TeachFirst Ambassador.
We sponsor three football teams:
- Withington Saints Football Club
- Cheetham Hill Junior Football Team
- Old Boltonians ‘A’ team
There are currently 1.8m vulnerable children in Kenya, many of them orphaned as a result of HIV and AIDS. This amazing charity steps in to transform the lives of street children in and around Mombasa, providing them with food, shelter and education.
Ross spent time teaching in Nairobi and became involved with the charity, meeting young people helped by its outreach projects, seeing first-hand how Gap Kenya can make a huge and lasting difference to individual lives. We also support the education of Penny (pictured), the daughter of the people Ross lived with during his time in Kenya.
Taylor & Taylor are supporting the Octagon Reimagined appeal, specifically supporting the ‘Buy a Brick’ and ‘Sponsor a Seat’ campaigns.
The Octagon Theatre has been a much-loved part of Bolton life for 50 years, an organisation that enriches our communities and fundamentally changes lives for the better. The Octagon Reimagined appeal is raising funds towards a major redevelopment project that will transform the theatre building. We are helping to ensure the Octagon’s future supporting our local community for generations to come.
